H. Rossiter Horn, R.Ph.
Founder, and Chief Executive Officer

Harry has over 25 years of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, working with both Fortune 50 and start-up companies. He has owned a successful consulting business focused on strategic business, clinical and corporate development, directed a successful strategic clinical development program at SangStat Medical Corporation, was responsible for a multi-million-dollar sales territory with Ortho Biotech, and enjoyed a successful sales career at Knoll Pharmaceuticals. Mr. Horn holds a B.S. (R.Ph.) degree in Pharmacy from the Temple University School of Pharmacy and a B.S. in Biology from the University of Scranton.

Joe Firca, PH.D.
Founder, Chief Scientific Officer

Joe has more than 35 years of extensive operating and product development knowledge and is a recognized leader in the life science and biotechnology arena in matters of research, technology assessment, and regulatory issues. He has a combined 18 years leading research groups at Baxter International and Abbott Laboratories. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Firca has contributed to numerous publications and patents. Some of his contributions include co-development of the first automated DNA synthesizer; Abbott liaison to Amgen, Inc. for a joint collaboration on DNA probes for infectious diseases; systems integration for major instrumentation in blood donor screening; and the development of numerous approved immunoassays for the detection of infectious disease agents. Most recently he served as Adjunct Associate Professor in Biomedical Engineering and Associate Director of Corporate Relations at the McCormick School of Engineering, Northwestern University. Dr. Firca holds a Ph.D. in Microbiology (Microbial Genetics) from the University of Cincinnati, an M.S. in Microbiology (Mycology) from Duquesne University and a B.S. in Biology from Xavier University and has done postdoctoral work at Argonne National Laboratory.

Ed Corrigan, PH.D.
Founder, Chairman and Chief Financial Officer

Ed has had extensive financial management, regulatory compliance, and retail and investment banking experience in both the private and public sectors. He is the founder of a successful early stage Food Safety, Human Clinical, and Veterinary Diagnostics  biotechnology company that has been in business 15 years. He has overseen a biotechnology laboratory and supervised the development of a hand-held biosensor instrument now on the market. His training is in public finance and economics. Dr. Corrigan holds a B.A degree from Rutgers College, and M.A. (Economics) and Ph.D. (International Economics) degrees from the University of Denver.

Daniel Kaye
Independent Director

Dan has more than 40 years of executive business experience in finance, auditing, governance & risk management, and is a retired Managing Partner – Assurance at Ernst and Young LLP, Chicago where he was responsible for more than 1,600 Assurance professionals in 10 offices across 12 states. Mr. Kaye currently is a member of the Board of Directors for Alliance Bernstein Holdings NYSE (AB), AXE Equitable Holdings NYSE (EQH) and CME Group.

Advisory Board
Dick is a James D. Watson Professor Emeritus in Oncology at the McArdle Laboratory for Cancer Research, University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Burgess is considered a leading expert on protein purification and characterization, RNA polymerases and transcription machinery, regulation of gene expression, and use of monoclonal antibodies in protein biochemistry. He was the founder and director of the UW-Madison Biotechnology Center (1984-96) and is a leading figure in the Wisconsin biotechnology business community. Dr. Burgess earned his B.S. in Chemistry from the California Institute of Technology and his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Harvard University under James D. Watson in 1969.
Greg has more than 30 years of R&D management experience at Pierce Biotechnology and Thermo-Fisher Scientific Company. Dr. Hermanson’s specialties include protein purification, protein chemistry, affinity separations, activation and coupling molecules to solid supports and surfaces, bioconjugation and modification, fluorescent probes and labeling, detection, and assay development. Dr. Hermanson also brings experience in negotiations, licensing and acquisition of technology, collaborative development, intellectual property management, strategic planning, and patent research and prosecution.
Phil is a principal at Megalopolis Consulting. As a software product development executive and serial entrepreneur, Phil London has a proven track record of delivering high-quality first-to-market products reliably and efficiently. After four successful startups and global experience from Lotus and APC/Schneider Electric, his primary interest is startups and turnarounds. Dr. London assembles great teams, drives innovation, improves productivity and predictability in the development process, and defines and delivers products customers want to buy. His experience spans academic and corporate research, product development, product management, engineering executive management, and general management. He had served as a technology and strategy advisor to a number of software and biotechnology organizations, large and small.
Fritz is the owner and President of Lytic Solutions LLC and a scientific advisor in protein expression and scale-up in bacterial production systems. His work using proprietary vectors and “protease-free” expression and production systems to generate commercial quantities of robust, recombinant reagents, was instrumental in StableBody Technology, LLC’s previous work. Dr. Schomburg earned his B.S. in Biology and Chemistry from Drake University and completed his Ph.D. and postdoctoral work in Biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
Doug is the Director of the Milwaukee Institute for Drug Discovery at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Dr. Stafford has over 20 years of experience in biomedical product companies, with senior management responsibilities, in research and development, manufacturing operations, regulatory and clinical affairs, organizational development, patent licensing, and finance. Dr. Stafford is inventor on over a dozen biomedical patents. Dr. Stafford has participated in 5 early stage biotechnology companies having made the successful transition to operating companies with a full range of products.
